i thought "this is crazy" and decided to run the Smart Start anyway, sure enough, it can't find the device because it's not on the network/subnet. So i thought maybe something was iffy with my client's network (which i set up but i'd address that later) and offered to take the printer home with me to my home network, which uses the same Internet Service Provider she does, and i have a proxy network for, ummm.other uses.Įthernet setup using DHCP on my ISP's router *still shows the IP of my client's office, even though it's on my router and connecting via DHCP (meaning a new IP is to be handed to this device)* no luck. might not work too well for you using the Device UI** **PROTIP: i advise you to setup links to network paths via WebUI. Wow so i gotta say, i got this device from Newegg for a client for its similarity to the 3115 as well, i've used Xerox products in the past, and the Smart Start installation has all of the drivers, ran an update but there are still no fixes for it (device UI says we're using software 1.57.3), even installed the Scan Management software.still no help.
